Targeting at the future trend of China’s income distribution, this program analyzes and evaluates how China’s regional development strategy, poverty relief policies, farm land circulation, agricultural product price reform, hukou system reform, transfer payment and taxation system reform, and education system reform impact on its income distribution. It also introduces the experience of Latin American countries in narrowing down income gap and puts forward a package of policy suggestions on China’s future income distribution system reform. This report evokes widespread repercussions in the realm of policy and academic research.
The research report, China's Income Distribution in a Transition Period: Status-Quo of China’s Income Gap and Impact Evaluation of Relevant Policies, was published in August 2012.
