The 10th China Leaders in Development Executive Program was offered from April 23, 2012 to June 17, 2012. A total of 43 participants, including officials from 16 provinces (or municipalities/autonomous regions), the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corp and 22 central-level departments (including four provincial-level officials), enrolled in the program. The program consisted of two phases: participants receiving training at Tsinghua University, and going to the United States for field investigation and studying at Harvard University. The program covered public administration, urban planning, housing policy, public health, crisis management, energy strategy, sustainable development and other topics. During their stay in the United States, the participants visited the US Department of State, Chicago City Hall, Grand Rapids, the World Bank, the Center for Strategic and International Studies and other places, and exchanged opinions with relevant officials, scholars and entrepreneurs to build mutual understanding.
