Memorandum of Understanding Signed with State of Green

A signing ceremony was held at the China National Convention Center by China Development Research Foundation and the Danish public-private partnership State of Green on June 7. The Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of China Development Research Foundation Lu Mai and the Executive Director at State of Green Finn Mortensen signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the ceremony. The Ambassador of Denmark to China Anders Carsten Damsgaard attended the signing ceremony. Minister of Energy, Utilities and Climate Lars Christian Lilleholt witnessed the signing and delivered a speech at the ceremony.


Denmark is a leader of green development. State of Green is a public-private partnership founded by the Danish Government, the Confederation of Danish Industry, the Danish Energy Association, the Danish Agriculture and Food Council and the Danish Wind Energy Industry Association. As the official green brand for Denmark, State of Green gathers all leading players in the fields of energy, climate, water technology, environment, etc. aiming to promote the spread of experiences on green transition in Denmark and the connections between the global practitioners on green development.


China Development Research Foundation has organized the annual China Executive Leadership Programme took place in Copenhagen Business School since 2005. In 2016, the foundation organized Workshop on Urban Ecology and Sustainability in Denmark in support of Danish companies and Chinese local government. The foundation established a solid basis for cooperation with State of Green since then.


According to the memorandum, China Development Research Foundation will work with State of Green to promote communication and cooperation in sharing practical experiences on water resource management, energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste management, recycling, air quality and city livability between public and private sectors in Denmark and government, enterprises and scholars in China. As a knowledge center of green development in these fields, Both sides will carry out green capacity building for government officials through training, holding seminars, etc. to promote the green transition.
