The 11th China-US Symposium on Building the Financial System of the 21st Century was held in Shenzhen, China on June 5-7, 2014. The symposium invited over 100 well-known experts, regulators and practitioners from the American and Chinese financial sectors to exchange views on economic and financial situations in the two countries and hot issues related to changes in international financial market. The symposium adopts a well-established and widely used communication model consisting of plenary sessions and panel discussions. It provides a communication platform for experts to deliver keynote speeches and have discussions to exchange views. In order to promote financial cooperation between China and the United States, the symposium continues to contribute to the development and improvement of the international financial system and the financial sector of the two countries by providing valuable insights. It has played an important role in promoting cooperation between the two sides in government regulation, corporate governance, information sharing, academic research and other fields.
