China Mayors Training Program 2016 successfully took place in Denmark

 The opening ceremony of China Mayors Training Program 2016 co-sponsored by the CDRF and the Organization Department of Hunan Provincial CPC Committee successfully took place in Denmark on October 20, 2016. Secretary-General Lu Mai delivered a speech at the ceremony. A total of 18 members including vice mayors and government officials from environment agencies and municipal administration departments in Hunan Province participated in the training.

In the two-day pre-training session in China, Gu Chaolin, professor at School of Architecture, Tsinghua University, Zhao Hui, chief economist of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Meng Chun, counselor at the Department of Macroeconomic Research, Development Research Center, the State Council, Zhang Bo, director of the Department of Water Environment Management, the Ministry of Environmental Protection ,and representatives from the Department of European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Public Security gave lectures on green development and changes in urban planning, urban and rural symbiosis and construction of beautiful and livable countryside, application of the PPP model in urban construction and environmental protection, protection of urban water environment and improvement of environmental quality in China during the Thirteenth Five-year Plan period, current political and economic situation in Europe, safety precautions regarding the visit to Demark and other topics. After that, the participants will visit Denmark to study indoor air, energy conservation, intelligent urban lighting, urban water supply systems, waste recycling, sewage treatment and other subjects.
