Accelerating Sino-Pakistani Economic Partnership Roundtable

On September 7, 2012, the Accelerating Sino-Pakistani Economic Partnership Roundtable  was held by CDRF.

The Round-table was jointly initiated by Wang Mengkui, President of CDRF, and Khalid Malik, Head of Human Development Report, United Nations Development Programme, and former U.N. Resident Coordinator in China. Chinese and Pakistani entrepreneurs, government officials, experts, and scholars are invited to join the discussion. Masood Kahn, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, and Li Jiange, Chairman of CICC, attended and addressed the round-table.

Participants had in-depth discussions on status-quo and problems of the bilateral economic and trade cooperation, reinforcement of bilateral cooperation, feasibility of setting up a Sino-Pakistan investment fund, cross-department cooperation and plan for future cooperation, and put forward lots of active and feasible suggestions. The round-table helps to enhance the mutual understanding between two countries and promote bilateral economic and trade cooperation for more prosperous economic development.
