The first batch of postdocs finished their program at the postdoctoral research base co-sponsored by the CDRF and Tsinghua University

The first batch of postdocs of the postdoctoral research base co-sponsored by the CDRF and Tsinghua University finished their oral defense for graduation at Ming Zhai Building, Tsinghua University, on October 19, 2016, in front of their advisors and committee members, including Lu Mai (co-advisor), secretary-general of the CDRF, and Professor Liu Taoxiong (co-advisor), Professor Zhang Xiaojin (co-advisor) and Associate Professor Su Yusong from the School of Social Sciences of Tsinghua University. Yu Jiantuo, director of the First Research Department, and Du Jing, director of the Third Research Department, sat in on the dissertation defense. Zhu Meiling and Zhang Chun, the first batch of postdocs of the base, passed the defense and finished their two-year postdoctoral term at the base. The advisors spoke highly of the performance of Dr. Zhu Meili at the base.


After the defense, Secretary-General Lu Mai delivered a speech, in which he expressed his hope that the postdocs at the base should combine the projects of the CDRF with their postdoctoral research, protect the reputation of Tsinghua University and the CDRF and strive to obtain excellent results.


The research base was established by the CDRF and the School of Social Sciences of Tsinghua University in 2014. Currently, the research base has enrolled seven postdocs. Under the dual-advisor system, each postdoc carries out research programs under the guidance of two advisors, one from the CDRF and one from Tsinghua University.
