The CDRF held the Seminar on Strategic Communication and Promotion of Reforms
On June 23, 2014, the CDRF held the Seminar on Strategic Communication and Promotion of Reforms.
The year 2014 is the first year for implementing the decision of deepening reforms comprehensively. Governments and authorities at different levels have been actively working on reform programs and putting these programs into practice. Effective communication in the process of reform plays a crucial role in developing a sound reform program and promoting reform in an efficient manner.
In order to better solve the problems encountered in the reform and to improve strategic communication skills, the CDRF and the USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism (“Annaberger School” for short) joined hands to launch strategic communication research and training projects. Prof. Ernest Wilson, dean of Annaburger School, was invited to Beijing to discuss the content of strategic communication programs. He previously served as advisor for innovation and communication for President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.
More than 20 representatives from ministries, committees, media outlets and local governments, including Zhou Yanli, vice chairman of China Insurance Regulatory Commission, and Bao Yueyang, president of China Development Press, attended the seminar.
