Warm-up Seminar on China Development Forum 2019 is Convened
On February 16, the first Warm-up Seminar on China Development Forum was convened in Beijing. It was co-organized by CDRF and The Paper, and focused on the theme of "High-quality regional economic development: from urbanization to urban agglomerations". Five experts from academia and industry gathered together to probe into such important topics as new sources of energy and problems facing China's urban agglomerations. Fang Jin, Deputy Secretary General of the CDRF, and Sun Jian, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of The Paper delivered speeches, while Yu Jiantuo, Assistant Secretary General of the CDRF, moderated the discussions.
The guests included Li Tie, President of China Center for Town Reform and Development of Cities and Small Towns, Ni Pengfei, Director of Urban and Competitiveness Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Shen Jianguang, Vice President and Chief Economist of JD Digits, Ren Zeping, Chief Economist of China Evergrande Group and Director of Institution for Economic Research at China Evergrande, Yang Xian, Chief Economist of Shell House Search and Director of Shell Research Institute. During the seminar, they delivered keynote speeches on urbanization and economic development, and partook in round-table discussions.
