On March 12, 2019, Deputy Secretary General Fang Jin and the team of "For the Future: Secondary Vocational Education Program", which was funded by Apple Inc., investigated the progress in piloting the program in schools, in an effort to advance the "Digital Program of Child Development in Impoverished Areas".

Last year, Mr. Cook, CEO of Apple Inc., announced in the China Development Forum that Apple would fund RMB25 million to promote digital learning in poverty-stricken areas. This funding covered three programs of the Child Development Center, namely, "One Village One Preschool”, "China REACH" home visiting program, and "For the Future" secondary vocational education Program. Jintang County Vocational High School (Jintang County Technical School) in Sichuan Province was the first pilot organization.

On the morning of March 12, Deputy Secretary General Fang Jin arrived at Jintang Vocational High School (Jintang County Technical School) in Sichuan Province, and held a symposium with Ge Yue, Vice President of Apple Inc. and Managing Director of Greater China, leaders of Jintang County Technical School, leaders of Jintang County Education Bureau and members of the Team of Building Information Technology Studio. During the symposium, they exchanged views regarding the preliminary IT development and future plans in Jintang County Technical School, and indicated that they would work together to facilitate the implementation of the "Digital Program of Child Development in Impoverished Areas" in the pilot schools of the "For the Future: Secondary Vocational Education Program".
