Anglo American's GMC Delegation Visits the CDRF
On June 11, Mr. Mark Cutifani, the CEO of Anglo American, led an 18-member delegation of the Group Management Committee (GMC) to visit the CDRF .
Secretary General Fang Jin, on behalf of the CDRF, welcomed the delegation, and briefed about the CDRF and its major tasks. Vice Chairman Lu Mai shared the decision-making mechanism of the Chinese government and the achievements of China in national construction and social and economic development under the leadership of the Communist Party of China in the past seven decades with the delegation. Besides, the CDRF also invited Zou Ji, the President of the Energy Foundation Beijing Representative Office, and Zhang Bin, a researcher of the Institute of World Economics and Politics, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, to explain the road of green development, as well as the progress in the macroeconomic situation and the supply-side structural reform of China, respectively.
Mr. Mark Cutifani held that Anglo American ranks fifth in mining in the
world. At present, it is expanding its global business, and has maintained good
cooperation with many Chinese enterprises. Anglo American is glad to see the
great stride of China. This visit was designated to help further investigate and
understand the Chinese market. Anglo American was willing to serve as a partner
to continue to participate in and support China's future development.
