The 2019 CDF Special Session Will Be Held from Sept. 6 to 7 on the Theme of "Trade, Openness, and Shared Prosperity"
The 2019 CDF Special Session (China Development Forum) will be held in Beijing from September 6 to 7 on the theme of "Trade, Openness, and Shared Prosperity". The session will be directed by the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), and organized by the CDRF .
The 2019 CDF Special Session in autumn will be committed to "Engaging with the World for Common Prosperity" and on the theme of "Trade, Openness, and Shared Prosperity". Chinese and foreign enterprises, scholars, and government officials will discuss major topics such as the China-US trade friction. The session aims to demonstrate China's resolution to promote a higher level of opening up and drive all parties to share the achievement of economic growth.
This session will last for one and a half days and be held in multiple ways,
such as plenary sessions, group sessions, and closed-door round tables. This
session will carry forward the characteristics of the CDF, focus on hot issues,
and deeply explore global issues, such as the China-US relation, national
security in the context of globalization, cross-border digital trade regulation,
and the future-oriented intellectual property protection system. On the occasion
of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, this
session will also review and forecast the modernization of China and discuss new
measures for opening up, such as free trade zones, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao
Greater Bay Area, and the "Belt and Road Initiative".
