Fang Jin Attends the Launch Ceremony of Health and Poverty Alleviation Program of Daming County, Hebei Province & the Donation Ceremony of Mobile Heal

On October 16, the Health and Poverty Alleviation Program of Daming County, Hebei Province initiated by CDRF was launched in Daming County. Secretary General Fang Jin attended the launch ceremony on behalf of CDRF. Wang Anshun, Vice President of DRC, Shi Qingshuang, Vice Governor of Hebei, Gao Hongzhi, Secretary of Handan Municipal Party Committee and Fang Yansheng, Secretary of Daming County Party Committeea and Ms. Yan Liyun, Vice President of AstraZeneca Investment (China) Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.

Illness is the chief cause of poverty of Daming County. Health interventions can help Daming County to relieve the social and economic burden caused by illnesses. Secretary General Fang Jin spoke on the purpose of initiation and goal of the health and poverty alleviation program of Daming County and stressed the methodological and practical significance of taking Daming County as a social experimental pilot to promote health interventions among chronic patients. Deputy Director Wang Anshun instructed on how to further alleviate poverty in accordance with national poverty alleviation and the development of Daming County.

Later, on behalf of the program organizers, Secretary General Fang Jin and Ms. Yan Liyun donated a mobile treatment car and drugs worth RMB400,000 to Guo Tao, Executive Vice County Chief of Daming County and Ji Kaihua, head of Health Bureau of Daming County, respectively.
