Join Us and Sing Tomorrow Will Be Better with Children from around the World
The COVID-19 has been attacking our cherished world for months. This pandemic is a crisis of the mankind that requires global efforts. At this moment, we call for the world to be united regardless of skin color, race, and national borders, because humanity is a community with a shared future and for centuries human beings join hands in coordination and cooperation to overcome crises and challenges.
To this end, the China Development Research Foundation (CDRF), the China National Children’s Center and Save the Children have launched a joint initiative of online choir, “Voice of Children – Children from around the World Singing Tomorrow Will Be Better”, where children from rural and urban areas of China and the rest of the world sing together the song ‘Tomorrow Will Be Better’ in Chinese and English. With this, we pray for an end to the current pandemic and a better future for the world we live in.
On 2nd April, the CDRF and the partners released the official music video. The hashtag has so far been read over nine million times and commented over 8195 times.
Today, the CDRF will start #TomorrowWillBeBetter# Global Relay of Children’s Voice on Facebook. We are now inviting children from all over the world to join us and sing Tomorrow Will Be Better.
The second edition of the music video is scheduled to be released later this April. We are now inviting more children including yours to be part of this video. Ways of participation and requirements are as follows:
1. Children under 14 from all over the world are welcomed to participate.
2. The video can be solo singing, chorus, dance and sing, or instrument playing of Tomorrow Will Be Better. Please also include in your video your support of global solidarity and cooperation against the COVID-19.
3. Requirements for the video shooting
l Please hold your phone or camera horizontally. Shoot full or upper half the body. Please select a background that best depicts your national or ethnic characteristics. Please do not use any App or software to filter.
l Please record the video in a quiet environment. If you choose to sing, please sing without background music; if you choose to record with an instrument, please make sure the sound is as clear as possible. You can find the Chinese and English lyrics and music scores in the attachment.
l Please record at least one verse for editing purpose.
4. Upload your video on Facebook
Please upload the video to your personal Facebook account, add #VoiceofChildren# and #TomorrowWillBeBetter#, and @ChinaDevelopmentResearchFoundation. You can also invite your friends to be part of the relay.
