On the basis of the survey in 2019, the delegation sampled the program’s volunteer teachers, children in village kindergartens and other publicly and privately-run kindergartens, and currently 8th grade students (graduates from village kindergartens and other publicly and privately-run kindergartens that were enrolled in 2009).

The delegation paid a visit to several towns for at-home visits with kindergarten children and graduates and interviews with volunteer teachers to collect information of children enrolled into kindergartens in 2009 (currently 8th grade students), learn about the children, their families and teachers of village kindergartens in multiple dimensions and also cross-check the information authenticity.

Besides, CDRF and Ledu education authority jointly organized the online questionnaire filing and monitoring among teachers in village kindergartens and other publicly and privately-run kindergartens and received 522 questionnaire responses in total.

By visiting families, kindergartens and schools, the delegation comprehensively explored the effects of “One Village One Preschool” on children’s development at the time and ten years later as well as the enabling factors (such as family type, family structure and parenting behaviors) in ways of questionnaires, interviews and observations. It will complete the group case analysis following the survey and compilation of the survey report in the second half of 2020.
