Fang Jin Attending the Delphi Economic Forum

On June 10, CDRF Secretary General Fang Jin attended the Delphi Economic Forum upon invitation and gave a speech at the session “Mapping China-EU Relations”.

Fang mentioned that China and Europe need cooperation now more than any time before. Besides coping with COVID-19, they share many common interests and objectives in plenty of other global challenges. Despite the lasting severe challenge of the pandemic, the two parties should both pay attention to long-term issues, jointly promote to enhance the building of international multi-lateral mechanisms, improve global governance and drive forward international cooperation.

Delphi Economic Forum, as one of the highest-profile non-profit international economic forums in Southeast Europe and Eastern Mediterranean area, has been consecutively held four times so far. Under the impact of COVID-19, it was convened online this year.

Other guests joining the discussion included Li Cheng, Director of John Thornton China Center of the Brookings Institution, Professor Wang Yiwei from Renmin University of China, Research Associate Lu Ke with Harvard Kennedy School, and Professor Ding Chun with Fudan University.
