CDRF is awarded National Distinguished Women’s Collective by All-China Women's Federation
On March 8, International Women's Day, Ma Jiantang, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of Development Research Center of State Council, presented the plaque of National Distinguished Women’s Collective to the Child Development Center of China Development Research Foundation (CDRF). Zhang Junkuo, vice president of CDRF, attended the award ceremony. Cao Yan, deputy director of the Child Development Center of CDRF, received the plaque on behalf of the foundation.
The title of National Distinguished Women’s Collective is awarded by All-China Women's Federation for the excellency of women's groups, which have made outstanding contributions for the country, the people and the society.
Since 2009, the Child Development Center of CDRF has been dedicated to improving children's health and education and women's development in remote areas of China. At present, the center consists of 20 employees, including 18 female employees, accounting for 90% of the staff, with 2 of them in the three-leader’s team.
The center has been concentrated in poor areas and the those with serious poverty conditions in “Sanqusanzhou” areas, with an emphasis on children's development, carrying out social programs and policy researches including "Breastfeeding Promotion project", “China Reach", "One Village One Preschool" and "Win the Future: Vocational Education Promotion Program".
Since 2009, the Child Development Center of CDRF has covered 34 counties in 13 provinces (autonomous regions) in a progressing manner, founding 100,000 infants and children every year and having provided jobs for 4,500 women in villages.
