Chairman Li Wei and delegation inspects implementation of the rural early childhood development project in Bijie, Guizhou Province
On December 1, 2020, Li Wei, Chairperson of Committee on Population, Resources and Environment of CPPCC and Chairman of CDRF, Lu Mai, Vice Chairman of CDRF; and Xu Dongliang, Chairman of SRIT, went to Bijie, Guizhou, to inspect rural child development projects, and discuss with the local authorities to establish Bijie as a "Comprehensive Demonstration Zone for Rural Children's Development." Yang Hongyuan, chairman of the Bijie CPPCC, and Wu Dong, member of the Bijie Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Qixingguan District Committee, accompanied the delegation.
In the afternoon of the 1st, the delegation went to Heguantun Town, Qixingguan District, to visit the kindergarten development.

Afterward, the delegation went to Dayin to visit local children's families and observe home visiting done by China REACH. Li Wei and others talked with families and home visitors to learn about the family's conditions and the parents' evaluation of the project.

On the night of the 1st, Zhou Jiankun, vice chairman of Guizhou provincial CPPCC, met with Li Wei and exchange opinions on building Bijie "Comprehensive Demonstration Zone for Rural Children's Development."
On December 2, the delegation held a child development work meeting in Bijie City. The leaders of the municipal government, district government and district departments, representatives of the district “China REACH” and "One Village, One Preschool", representatives of Zhijin County government, and representatives of the "For the Future" project in Hezhang County and Weining County joined the meeting.
