CDRF visits Bachu County and Tumushuk City, Xinjiang to carried out the preliminary work for implementing "China Reach" Early Childhood project

From June 7th to 11th, 2021, the research team of CDRF went to Bachu County and Tumshuk City of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to conduct preliminary work for the "China Reach" project. Fang Jin, Secretary-General of CDRF, Du Zhixin, Director of Children's Development Center, and related project personnel also participated.


"China Reach" aims to intervene in the development of 6-36-month-old children in rural areas through home visiting, and explore effective ways to break the intergenerational transmission of poverty. As of the end of 2020, the project has been successfully piloted in 11 counties in 10 provinces and autonomous regions across the country, covering 94 townships and 941 villages, with 1,007 home interviewers, and the cumulative number of children benefiting over 17,500. It has made important contributions to the growth and development of children, the improvement of the family education environment.
