The 7th Training Program for Principals of "For the Future: Secondary Vocational Education Program" Completes Successfully
From August 4-7, 2022, the 7th Training Program for Principals of Secondary Vocational Schools of "For the Future: Secondary Vocational Education Program" was successfully held in Bijie, Guizhou. The CDRF and the Bijie Educational Bureau jointly organised this training program. Eighty school leaders and excellent teachers from 26 schools in Guizhou, Sichuan and Guangdong provinces participated in the online and offline training. The training course lasted four days and invited several senior experts to lecture. It focused on school moral education, students' mental health, course and certificate integration policies, rural revitalisation talent training, school-enterprise cooperation and other aspects, aiming to strengthen the teaching force, and improve the quality of vocational education.
Experts from the Bijie Education Bureau, the Beijing Normal University, the South China Normal University, the World Bank, the Vocational Education Development Centre of the Ministry of Education, the Guangxi Polytechnic of Communications, the Renmin University of China, and the Beijing Vocational College of Social Management gave lectures. During the training, principals and teachers of each school also had in-depth exchanges on topics such as "how to localised moral education", "where is the difficulty in integrating courses and certificates", and "the effect of intervention measures of the project".
Since the launch of "For the Future: Secondary Vocational Education Program" in 2016, six sessions of training programs for principals of secondary vocational schools have been successfully held in places including Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Wuhan. It aims to improve TVET quality, and cultivate positive and healthy talents with new skill sets.
