Home Visitor training of Xizang's China REACH pilot was successfully held

From January 30 to February 10, 2023, the second phase of home-visitor training for the China REACH (Rural Education and Child Health) pilot in Shannan, Xizang Autonomous Region and Nimu County was launched in Lhasa. Hosted by the China Development Research Foundation and organized by the Xizang Autonomous Region Maternal and Child Health Association, 33 home visitors recruited by the expansion of the Senbure pilot and 7 home visitors in Nimu County pilot were trained in project protocol, gynecology, child care and family education.

Through home visits and Mommy schools at the Senbure poverty alleviation relocation site, China REACH hopes to explore models for promoting the high-quality development of poverty alleviation resettlement areas from the perspective of early childhood development. On the morning of January 30, Fang Jin, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Development Research Foundation, Zhang Lirong, member of the leading party group and first-class inspector of the Xizang Autonomous Region Women's Federation, Feng Danyun, Secretary-General of Beijing CICC Foundation, and Tenzin Quzhen, Vice President of the Xizang Maternal and Child Health Care Association (Pema Yangjin), vice president of the Xizang Maternal and Child Health Care Association, attended the opening ceremony.
