CDRF Convenes first Meeting of the 5th Board of Directors
The first Meeting of the 5th Board of Directors of China Development Research Foundation was held on March 29, 2023.
The meeting heard Zhang Junkuo's statement on the re-election of the Board and the composition of the Directors, Supervisors and Chairman of the 5th Board. The Board elected Zhang Junkuo as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the China Development Research Foundation and Fang Jin as Vice Chairman. The meeting heard and deliberated on the work report and financial report made by Fang Jin on behalf of the 4th Board and the report on the operations of the Children's Development Fund made by Lu Mai. The Board adopted the resolution, and discussed important issues such as the work of the 5th Board and the future development of the foundation.
The Board concludes that under the leadership of the Party Group of the Development Research Center of the State Council and the 4th Board chaired by Li Wei, the foundation adhered to its mandate, supported the work of DRC in serving China, and achieved results in all its main undertakings, in Party building, delegated projects, international exchange, policy research, child development and social programs, and human resources.
The Board hopes that under the leadership of the leading Party Group of the DRC and the new Board, the foundation will study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and fully implement the new development concept, implement the spirit of Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter to China Development Forum 2023 and his series of instructions on the development of children in poverty-stricken areas, and carry out pilots and studies on child development in rural areas; explore new models of party building; strengthen long-term planning of the foundation; strengthen policy research to serve China.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman Zhang Junkuo, Zhang Hui, Director of the General Office of the Development Research Center of the State Council and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the foundation, Yue Zongwei, Deputy Director of the General Office of the DRC, Chen Guotang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Foundation and Secretary of the General Party Branch, and Cheng Huiqiang, Yu Jiantuo and Qiao Zhengyang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Foundation attended the meeting as observers.
