CDRF Holds Mid-Term Meeting for Child Development Research Project for Youth
The Child Development Research Project for Youth was initiated by the China
Development Research Foundation (CDRF) to strengthen and improve child
development research and build a team of young research talents. The project
aligns with CDRF’s work on research, pilot interventions and policy advocacy on
child development; focuses on improving the quality of research on child
development, strengthening research outputs and impact; mobilizes the enthusiasm
and creativity of CDRF’s young researchers.
The project is open to application for CDRF’s under 40s researchers. On
October 27, CDRF held an evaluation meeting and selected six research proposals.
The proposals cover child nutrition, education, psychology and other fields,
focusing on pre-school education, compulsory education, vocational education and
other stages.
On June 26, 2023, the Foundation held a mid-term meeting. Du Zhixin, Deputy
Director of CDRF's Child Development Research Institute, presided over the
meeting, and two experts, Cai Jianhua, senior advisor of CDRF's Child
Development Research Institute, and Wang Weidong, Deputy Director of National
Survey Research Center at Renmin University of China, participated in the
evaluation of the research projects, and Fang Jin, Vice Chairman and
Secretary-General of CDRF, summarized the meeting. The six research teams
presented and defended the progress made on their research.
