For the Future Learning Camp Held in Shanghai
From 18th to 22nd September 2023, the China Development Research Foundation
(CDRF) organized a 5-day Vocational Education Learning Camp in Shanghai. More
than 50 teachers and students from 10 vocational schools in Guangzhou and
Chengdu, specializing in machineryrelated fields, participated in this
activity.
The theme of the camp is centered on the modernization of the "machinery
industry", aiming to promote in-depth exchanges between For the Future pilot
schools and enterprises, enhance the professional skills of students in
secondary vocational schools, and encourage participants to venture out and
broaden their horizons, find their career goals, so as to lay a good foundation
for their future career planning and development.

During the 5-day camp, teachers and students of the vocational school visited
several large enterprises and colleges that are highly relevant to their future
career development, including Sany Heavy Industry, Suzhou Tram Factory, Shanghai
Jiaotong University and Bilibili, as well as the world-renowned China
International IndustryFair. Through the learning camp, the participants not only
saw various advanced machinery and equipment, but also gained firsthand
experience of the latest development and cutting-edge technology in the
industry, and also contacted with the application of smart machinery and
equipment and "Internet of Everything" in modern enterprises.
The Shanghai Vocational Education Learning Camp allowed the students to
explore modern science while colliding their thoughts with it and facilitated
them with acquiring deeper insight into their studies and career planning in the
field of mechanical industry. The camp has also widened students' selectivity of
their future careers from multiple perspectives, which helped direct their
future career development.
