CDRF Holds Seminar on the Role of Private Capital in Agriculture Value Chain

On 9 January 2024, Research Department I of China Development Research Foundation (CDRF) held a seminar on the role of private capital in the agriculture value chain and kicked off research on the topic. Fang Jin, vice chairman and secretary-general of CDRF, gave a speech, and Yu Jiantuo, deputy secretary-general of CDRF, hosted the seminar.

Attending experts examined the proceedings of the recent Central Economic Work Conference and Central Rural Work Conference, and discussed how to stimulate private investment and encourage diversified financing to meet the needs of rural revitalization, so as to provide advice and suggestions for comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and accelerating the modernization of agriculture and the countryside.

Experts and scholars from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, National Rural Revitalization Administration, National Development and Reform Commission, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, China International Association for Urban and Rural Development, representatives from KKR, HEMA Xiansheng, New Hope Group, Beidahuang Group, Yuguan Modern Agricultural Science & Technology Co Ltd, and Sylvan, as well as staff from Research Department I and Public Relations Department of CDRF attended the meeting.
