Initiating Partners of “Bright Start Action Plan” Announced
As of April 25, 2024, the China Development Research Foundation (CDRF) has
received support from 80 sponsors for its “Bright Start Action Plan: Home
Visiting Action Plan for 100,000 Rural Infants and Toddlers”. As the Initiating
Partners of the first phase of the Bright Start Action Plan, each of them has
contributed at least 30,000 RMB, enough to support the cost of home-based early
childhood education for 10 children for one year.
Peng Peiyun, an Initiating Partner of the Action Plan, and former Vice
Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, dedicated
an inscription for the Bright Start Action Plan.
Gao Fu, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Dean of D. H. Chen
School of Universal Health at Zhejiang University, also wrote an inscription for
the “Bright Start Action Plan”.
The initiators are united by a common vision for rural children's
development, to enable rural children to receive science based and effective
early parenting, and to jointly promote the introduction of relevant public
policies.
