The First "Care for Women's Health - China Women's Health Development Forum" and "3rd China Family Development Seminar" Held at 5th CIIE
On November 8, 2022, the first "Care for Women's Health - China Women's Health Development Forum" and "The 3rd China Family Development Seminar" sponsored by the China Development Research Foundation and co-sponsored by the People's Government of Fengxian District of Shanghai and the Shanghai Women's Federation was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) during the 5th CIIE. This forum gathers representatives from government departments, research institutions, social organizations, and enterprises related to women's health and family development in a combination of online and offline methods to exchange and discuss the topic of "caring for women's health and paying attention to family development". It’s one of the important activities to actively implement the spirit of the 20th NCCPC on advancing the Healthy China Initiative across the board. Ma Jiantang, deputy director of the Economic Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC, Zong Ming, vice mayor of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, attended the meeting and delivered speeches for the forum, and Dai Xuguang, president of the China Eugenics and Fertility Association, delivered a video speech at the forum. Fang Jin, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the CDRF, and Li Zheng, Secretary of the Fengxian District Party Committee of Shanghai, delivered keynote speeches one after another. At the same time, Peng Xizhe, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Advisory and Evaluation Committee on Laws and Policies, and Peng Yang, Global Vice President, and President of Danaher China Group, delivered keynote speeches at the forum.
The roundtable discussion session of the forum focused on the theme of "Women's Health and Social High-quality Development". Li Lan, Director of the Institute of Public Administration and Human Resources of the Development Research Center of the State Council, Cai Jianhua, former Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the Cadre Training Center of the National Health Commission, Jiang Xiuhua, Deputy Director of the Women's Research Institute of the All-China Women's Federation, Li Ming, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Women's Federation, Roberta Lipson, Founder of United Family Healthcare, and Alfred Tat-Kei Ho, Director of the Department of Public Policy of City University of Hong Kong. Liu Zhiwei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the International Peace Maternal and Child Health Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, made wonderful speeches, and Wei Chunyan, Vice President of Government Affairs of Danaher China, moderated the session and exchanged views with the speakers.
"Care for Women's Health" is a project initiated by the China Development Research Foundation. The project is committed to conducting research on women's health and family development, organizing communication activities for women's health and family development, implementing social pilot projects for women's health and family development, and calling on the whole society to care for women's health and family development. "Care for Women's Health - China Women's Health Development Forum" is an important part of the project.
