CDRF Holds Roundtable on "Policies and Practices of Primary Recycling for Food Contact Plastic Packaging"
On 28 July 2023, the China Development Research Foundation (CDRF) held a
roundtable on "Policies and Practices of Primary Recycling for Food Contact
Plastic Packaging". Officials and Experts from State Administration of Market
Regulation, the National Health Commission, Chinese Academy of Engineering,
China National Centre for Food Safety Risk Assessment, the Guangzhou Customs
Technology Center and other relevant departments and research institutes
attended the roundtable to discuss the policy trends in primary recycling of
food contact plastic packaging. Cheng Huiqiang, Deputy Secretary-General of
CDRF, chaired the roundtable.
Chen Junshi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chief
Adviser of the China National Centre for Food Safety Risk Assessment, delivered
a keynote speech. Ji Chao, inspector of the Department of Product Quality and
Safety Supervision and Management of the State Administration for Market
Supervision and Administration, Chen Bo, director of the Food Safety Risk
Monitoring and Evaluation Division of the Food Safety Standards and Monitoring
and Evaluation Department of the National Health Commission, Zhu Lei, director
of Food Safety Standards Research Center of the China National Centre for Food
Safety Risk Assessment, Zhong Huaining, director of the National Key Laboratory
for Food Contact Material Testing (Guangdong) of Guangdong Customs Technology
Center, and others experts spoke at the roundtable.
Zhu Meili, Deputy Director and Associate Researcher of Research Department 3
of the Foundation, Dr Fan Zhenting, Program Manager, Zhao Songyan, Deputy
Program Manager, and Hao Sijia, Research Assistant, attended the meeting.
