The Sixth China-US Symposium on Building the Financial System of the 21st Century, co-organized by the CDRF and Harvard Law School, was held from June 12 to June 14, 2009. The symposium focused on the most severe financial crisis in the past one hundred years and explored new ways to reform the international financial system and innovative cooperation models between the two countries in the aftermath of the crisis.

Due to the unstable financial market in the aftermath of the crisis, the following three topics were selected:

1. Impact of the Credit Crisis on the U.S. and China and their Responses

2. Reform in the International Financial System in Light of the Credit Crisis

3. Innovative Post-Crisis Economic Cooperation between the U.S. and China
