On September 18 - 20, 2015, CDRF and the Harvard Law school jointly hosted the 12th Symposium on Building the Financial System of the 21st Century: An Agenda for China & the United States, held in Armonk, New York. The symposium was part of a series of exchanges held before Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to the United States, to discuss bilateral economic, trade and finance issues Over 150 government officials, financial senior executives and experts from China and the US attended the conference. Chinese Vice Minister of Finance Zhu Guangyao, Vice Director of the Development Research Centre of the State Council Wang Yiming, Chairman of China Galaxy Securities Chen You’an, US Treasury Under Secretary Nathan Sheets, member of Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Christopher Giancarlo, and President and CEO of Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco John Williams were among the presenters. The discussion enhanced mutual understanding and identified areas for cooperation in finance。
