Secretary-General Lu Mai attended the Symposium on Income Inequality and Social Policy in China

On October 22, 2016, Secretary-General Lu Mai attended the Symposium on Income Inequality and Social Policy in China: Achievements, Challenges and Prospects, co-sponsored by the China Institute for Income Distribution of Beijing Normal University and Columbia University's School of Social Work, and delivered a keynote speech entitled “Child Development and Social Equity”.

In his speech, Secretary-General Lu Mai briefed the attendants on early childhood development projects carried out by the CDRF in poverty-stricken areas, and pointed out that the key to ending child poverty is to promote best practices, to strengthen evaluation and monitoring of projects and to provide a full-time intervention program for children in poverty-stricken areas.

Yu Jiantuo, director of Research Department 1 under the CDRF, attended the symposium and gave a lecture on Child Development and Poverty.
