Secretary-General Lu Mai was invited to attend the China-Mongolia-Russia Forum 2016

From September 28 to 29, the China-Mongolia-Russia Forum 2016 was held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. More than 150 delegates from the governments, think tanks and business circles of China, Mongolia and Russia attended the meeting, and the Development Research Center of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region presided over the meeting. Secretary-General Lu Mai delivered a speech, entitled “Chinese-Mongolian-Russian Child Development and Cooperation under the Belt and Road Strategy”, at the meeting.


Secretary-General started his speech from the perspective that childhood is a critical stage of development, pointed out that investment in early childhood development is the key to poverty elimination and that the United Nations has put early childhood development on the agenda of sustainable development, indicating the international consensus in this field. After introducing the practices and experience of the three governments in promoting early childhood development, Lu pointed out that child development and cross-border cooperation are key elements of the Belt and Road Strategy and are of far-reaching practical and strategic significance to infrastructure interconnection, cultural communication and exchanges in the China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridor.


The speech of Mr. Lu struck a responsive chord with the attendants and the work done by the CDRF in this field was regarded as forward-looking welfare efforts.
