CDRF Holds Seminar on Deepening Health Reform to Promote Universal Health Coverage

On 26 September 2023, China Development Research Foundation (CDRF) held a seminar to discuss structure of the report on Deepening Health Reform to Promote Universal Health Coverage". Fang Jin, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CDRF, delivered the opening address, emphasizing that this study is the annual flagship report for CDRF.. He expressed his gratitude to the experts for their active engagement and substantial contributions, with the hope that the report would be further enhanced and finalized with the highest standards, building upon the existing work. Yu Jiantuo, Deputy Secretary General of CDRF, chaired the seminar.

The seminar commenced with a presentation on the report's structure by Yu Jiantuo. Following this, a distinguished panel of scholars contributed their insights: Gong Sen, professor at Zhejiang University; Guo Yan, professor at Peking University; Wu Ming, professor at Peking University; Jian Weiyan, a researcher at Peking University; Xu Jin, associate researcher at Peking University; Zhang Yaoguang, division direct at Centre for Health Statistics and Information, National Health Committee; Wu Jing, professor at Tianjin University; Wang Jing, professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology; and Dr. Zhou Jiahui from Nankai University. They expounded upon the framework of their specially commissioned reports and shared their preliminary findings respectively.

During the discussion session, the experts offered invaluable recommendations pertaining to both the main report and commissioned reports, which provided strong support for further improvement of the report.
