Yu Jiantuo Leads Team to Conduct Field Investigation on Sustainability Disclosure
In order to gain a comprehensive understanding of ESG practices of Chinese
and foreign enterprises and related issues in sustainable development, Yu
Jiantou, Deputy Secretary General of the China Development Research Foundation
(CDRF), led a team in Beijing and Shanghai to visit a series of companies and
institutions.
The team met with the ISSB Beijing office, the Industrial and Commercial Bank
of China (ICBC), the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SFEX), the Shanghai Advanced
Institute of Finance (SAIF), Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce (SMC),
JinkoSolar, Greenland Group, Dada Group, YTO Express, BNP Paribas, Mondelēz
International, Danaher Group, and discussed issues in ESG
governance, institution building for organizations and corporations, as well as
the introduction of Shanghai's three-year action plan on ESG.
The discussions covered several additional issues such as the promotion of
large-scale equipment renewal and consumer goods trade-in, the protection of
labor rights and interests for new employment patterns, and the China
Development Forum.
The team also visited Yangpu Riverside People's City Construction Planning
Exhibition Hall. Li Fan, Director of Research Department I, Chu Dongxiao,
Program Manager of Research Department III, and Xia Tian, Program Manager of
Public Relations Department participated in the research.
