From Early Child Development to Human Development (Chinese Translation)

       In 2000, the World Bank convened a global conference to address the benefits and challenges of investing in early child development (ECD). This publication contains papers and research achievements of the conference. It summarizes major research results, policy practices and theories in this field and gives a detailed and in-depth description of ECD programs successfully implemented throughout the world.

In recent years, the Chinese government and the general public have been paying more attention to preschool education and infant health. However, many people still fail to fully recognize the importance, scientific basis and policy implications of ECD. Therefore, we translated the World Bank's book, From Early Child Development to Human Development: Investing in Our Children's Future, which was selected after comparing a number of related books, in the hope that it will provide useful information to domestic researchers and policymakers and help promote public awareness of ECD.
