A Decade after China’s Accession to WTO
The program of A Decade after China’s Accession to WTO is launched by CDRF to systematically evaluate the impact of WTO accession on China and explore the breakthrough for economic and social development in the coming decade. The program witnesses the joint efforts of more than twenty renowned experts from domestic and overseas institutions, including National Development and Reform Committee (NDRC), Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), China Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Tsinghua University (THU), University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), Shanghai WTO Affairs Consultation Center, Shenzhen WTO Affairs Center, Bank of Communications, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and United Nations Development Program (UNDP). By examining various aspects such as macro economy, foreign trade, industrial development, social security system, regional economic cooperation and international comment, the program systematically evaluates the impact of WTO accession on China’s economic and social development as well as international economic system, discusses the outlook of China’s development path in the coming decade and provides policy recommendations for its future reform and development. The Chinese version of the research report A Decade after China’s Accession to WTO was published in May, 2012, with its English version coming soon.
