Tripartite MOU of CLD Program Inked

 

On January 14, 2013, the tripartite MOU of 2013-2017 China’s Leaders in Development program (CLD) is inked in Beijing. Mr. Li Wei, DRC President, Mr. Wang Jingqing, Vice Minister of the Department of Central Organization, Mr. Hu Heping, Party Secretary of Tsinghua University, relevant government officials and Harvard staff attend the signing ceremony. Mr. Hou Yunchun, DRC’s Vice President, Mr. David Ellwood, Dean of the John F. Kennedy School of Government in Harvard University, and Mr. Xue Lan, Dean of the School of Public Policy and Management in Tsinghua University, signed the MOU on behalf of DRC, Harvard University and Tsinghua University respectively. 

CLD program is initiated in 2002 by DRC, John F. Kennedy School of Government and SPPM. CDRF undertakes the specific organization. This is an annual program which provides training for 50 Chinese officials at central and local levels every year. The past decade witnesses two terms of 5-year CLD program while this signing ceremony marks the beginning of the third term.
