CDF 2013 Held

Approved by the State Council and sponsored by the Development Research Center of the State Council, China Development Forum 2013 was organized by CDRF on March 24-25, 2013 at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.

Themed "China: to Deepen Reform and Opening-up for a Well-off Society", the Forum provided a platform of all-around and in-depth discussion concerning issues including objectives and policies for a well-off society, reform of fiscal and taxation system, new structure of opening-up, and urbanization strategy.  

Premier Li Keqiang met foreign delegates, Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli addressed the opening ceremony, and the leadership of national ministries and commissions held open and in-depth discussion with Chinese and foreign delegates. The Forum was attended by about 20 CEOs of multinationals and 20 senior officials of international organizations and renowned scholars including Nobel Peace Prize winner and former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, and three Nobel Economics Prize winners Daniel Kahneman, Joseph Stiglitz and Michael Spence.
