CDRF and KDI Sign Agreement on Collaborative Research on Early Childhood Development Intervention
On September 24, 2013, CDRF and Korea Development Institute (KDI) held a signing ceremony for the collaborative research on early childhood development intervention. CDRF Secretary General Lu Mai, Vice Secretary General Fang Jin, Dr. Sang-Woo Nam, Dean of KDI School of Public Policy and Management, and Mr. Taejong Kim, Director of the Impact Evaluation Center, attended the ceremony and discussed the cooperation.
CDRF had conducted the Early Childhood Development Project in Qinghai and Yunnan provinces since 2009. At present, this project has been promoted to nine counties of seven provinces nationwide, benefiting a total of over 16,000 children. Besides, it has attracted the attention of international research institutions. To scientifically evaluate its effect, CDRF and KDI reached an agreement on cooperation to draw on each other’s strengths in practice and research to evaluate the effect of the Early Education Project so that they can better grasp the trend of early childhood development in China’s middle and western rural areas while finding scientific evidence to ensure the effective and sustainable development of this project.
