19th Symposium on Building the financial system of the 21st century was held

On November 15-16, 2022, CDRF and the PIFS at Harvard Law School co-hosted the 19th Symposium on Building the financial system of the 21st century. The symposium discussed 3 topics: promotion of climate investment and financing by China and the US, China-US cooperation of audit supervision and the prospects of Chinese stocks listed in the US, potential risks of US-China financial decoupling.

R. attended conferences and make presentation, China LIU Fushou, Chief Risk Officer, China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC), JIAO Jinhong, General Counsel, China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), WANG Xin, Director General, Research Bureau, People's Bank of China (PBC) participated in the seminar.

Summers, President Emeritus, Harvard University; Former Secretary, U.S. Department of the Treasury, Jay Clayton, Former Chairman, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Nathan Sheets, Global Chief Economist, Citi; Former Undersecretary of the U.S. Treasury for International Affairs, Tim Massad, Former Chairman, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Research Fellow, Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Adjunct Professor of Law, Georgetown Law School, attended conferences and make presentation. Nearly 200 experts and scholars from regulators, financial and academic institutions of the two countries attended the seminar.


The China-US Financial Symposium has been held for 19 consecutive years since 2004, through which professionals from the financial circles of the two countries have discussed on the trends and hot issues in international finance and the economic and financial issues of China and the United States. The seminar has become an important platform for regular direct exchanges between the financial community of China and the United States.
