CDRF Joins Xinjiang Assistance Campaign
On 24 September 2023, a signing ceremony was held in Urumqi for social
organizations pledging assistance to Xinjiang. The initiative was launched by
Ministry of Civil Affairs. Representatives of eight national social
organizations, including China Development Research Foundation (CDRF) and China
Foundation For Rural Development, attended the ceremony and signed agreements.
Cheng Huiqiang, Deputy Secretary-General of CDRF, signed an annual donation
agreement with Jimnay County Goverment, donating a total of 6 million yuan
(including in kind donations) to support the county’s early childhood
development efforts. Zhang Chunsheng, Vice Minister and head of the Leading
Group for assisting Xizang and Xinjiang of Ministry of Civil Affairs, and Liu
Sushe, Vice Chairman of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People's Government,
witnessed the signing ceremony.
