Anglo American CEO Visits CDRF

On the afternoon of January 13, 2015, Mark Cutifani, CEO of Anglo American and six others from the corporation visited China Development Research Foundation (CDRF). Lu Mai, Secretary General of CDRF, met with the delegation and held in-depth discussion with them on China’s reform and development as well as CDRF’s ongoing projects.

Mr. Mark Cutifani briefed on the corporation’s strategy of dedicating to diversified development for greater integrated competitiveness. He applauded China’s reform achievements in the past 30 years and attached importance to the Chinese market. He desired for a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of China so as to further the company’s business and cooperation in China. 

During the meeting, Secretary General Lu Mai expressed CDRF’s gratitude to Anglo American’s long-standing support to CDRF and China Development Forum. He briefed the delegation on CDRF’s ongoing projects in the areas of early childhood development, parenting, school feeding, nutrition package delivering, and vocational education. CDRF looks forward to long-term and closer collaboration with Anglo American in social responsibilities, and would like to establish relevant cooperation with NGOs in South Africa and other countries via Anglo America.
